New Survival Skills

Survival Class Info

We are pleased to let everyone know that we are gearing up for a new set of classes.

We have some of the best Survival Course Instructors from the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army Special Forces, U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force.

Our First Aid and Field Medic Class will be taught by a former U.S. Navy Corpsman (Combat Medic) who is top notch and knows what he is doing better than most.

Land Navigation, Fire Skills, Food and Water Gathering will be taught to you by a decorated Recon Marine who served in Iraq and was awarded the Purple Heart for his Service. You will also have a minimum of three other Military or Emergency Response Trained Instructors with you throughout your Course to help you sharpen you skills. 

When you go through one of our Courses whether it is one of our short 12 hr. Day Courses, Overnight Weekend Course or our Week Long Wilderness Experience you will be getting the best training available to you outside of joining the U.S. Military or being a First Responder.


 All Classes are held in public parks and Courses are held in the National Forests

One Day Basic 8 hr. Class:

 Basic Land Navigation, First Aid, Fire, Water and Shelter Skills, and the Proper use of Survival Tools and you will be given information that you need to know for all types of survival situations.

You will want to bring a pen and note book to this class as you will be taking a lot of note’s.

 cost; $75.00 per student.


 The Intermediate 16 hr. Weekend Class includes instruction in;

Review of Basic Land Navigation, First Aid, Fire, Water and Shelter Skills, Proper use of Survival Tools, and Learning about the Proper Gear for Survival and moves on to Intermediate Land Navigation, First Aid, Fire Skills 2.

cost; $150.00 per student. This class is 16 hr's over two consecutive days in one weekend.


 The Intermediate 24 hr. Weekend Course includes in the field instruction in;

Review of Basic Land Navigation, First Aid, Fire Skills, Proper use of Survival Tools, and Learning about the Proper Gear for Survival and moves on to Intermediate Land Navigation, First Aid, and Fire Skills and the use of Survival Gear 1 on 1 while in the field in a practical survival lab.

cost; $280.00 per student. You will get a minimum of 24 hr's of instruction and skills testing in this course.

Advanced Survival Skills 8 hr. Class;

Review of Intermediate Land Navigation, First Aid, Fire Skills, Proper use of Survival Tools, and Learning about the Proper Gear for Survival and moves on to Advanced Land Navigation, First Aid, and Fire Water and Shelter Skills along with Hunting and Rope Work Skills while in the field in a practical survival lab.

 cost; $180.00 per student.


 Advanced Survival Skills 24 hr. Weekend Course;

Review of Intermediate Land Navigation, First Aid, Fire Skills, Proper use of Survival Tools, and Learning about the Proper Gear for Survival and moves on to Advanced Land Navigation, First Aid, and Fire Water and Shelter Skills along with Hunting and Rope Work Skills while in the field in a practical survival lab.

cost; $280.00 per student. You will get a minimum of 24 hr's of instruction and skills testing in this course.

 

One Week N.S.S. Survival Quest Wilderness Experience Course;

This is where the rubber meets the road. You will be a team in this course and you will face a series of obstacles that can only be overcome as a team. You will not be allowed to leave anyone behind on any challenge in this course and completion is only achieved as a group!

During this week long experience each individual will be given the opportunity to lead the group through part of this challenging back country trek.     

Use of G.P.S with Map and Compass, Shelter Building, Advanced Fire Skills, Finding Food and Water, Survival Signaling for Rescue, How to use what you have to Survive, Solo on your own with your skills.

 One Week Wilderness Course cost; $600.00


 Students are responsible and must provide all their own gear needed for all classes and courses to include;

Packs, Fire Steel or Magnesium Fire Starter, Survival Knife, Mess Kit, First Aid Kit, Personal Water Filter, Compass, G.P.S., Canteens and or Bladder Bags, Sleeping pad, Tent, Sleeping Bag, Clothing and foot ware and all personal wash items. (G.P.S. is optional in all courses.)

Food will only be provided by N.S.S. for the N.S.S. Survival Quest Wilderness Experience Course, all students should make sure to have all their gear and food ready to go at the beginning of any class and or course.
